Artist's Description
This is a portrait of the Goddess wearing a headdress for Lughnasadh. The headdress is decorated with wheat, corn, and poppies. The background has grape leaves, corn leaves, and more wheat.
Other symbols of the harvest represented for this agrarian celebration are seeds in a spiral around her breast, and a Celtic bride's cross representing the Sun at her throat.
Her eyes are the green of healthy growth and her braid the color of rich soil.
This is a great print to display at the Lammas altar to represent the Goddess at this turning of the Wheel.

Such a wonderful way of conceptualizing the gaelic harvest Melissa! This would illustrate a wheel or seasonal calendar so nicely! Fantasy lashes are really cool. You included the wiccan elements for Lamass so beautifully. Stylish illustration. V/fav :) Pamela
